Time is a fundamental part of an abstract conceptual framework, together with space and
number, within which we sequence events, quantify their duration, and compare the
motions of objects.
What regulates time? Is it spatially conceptualized? How fast or slow does time pass in
airports? Is it emotionally conceptualized? Why does time slowdown during fear and awe?
Is it conceptualized by age? Why did days seem longer when we were kids? What happens
to time when the body has a fever? What happens to time when we sleep? A long dream
that seems to go on for hours when it actually lasted only a few seconds or minutes…
